In an effort to continue to progress with building both High Rock Capital Management’s Private Client and Special Mandate divisions, we have sought out the advice of a few of our esteemed clients who have experience in providing direction in matters of marketing, technology and other investment issues.

Meet your advisors

Andy Ryan

At High Rock’s Private Client division, we manage money for individuals, families, professional and private corportations on a Seperately Managed Account (SMA) basis.

Albert Pace

Albert Pace is the President and CEO of the Continental Saxon Group of Companies which has been active in real estate development and management across Canada and the United States, oil and gas exploration and corporate finance and private equity investments. In addition to managing investments, Al is actively involved with charitable interests that are funded through the Pace Family Foundation (PFF). Its work include health and education projects in Canada and in Africa where it has been involved with the development of hospitals, health centers, schools and water projects. PFF has also been actively involved with Medecins Sans Frontieres in the Sudan, Syria and elsewhere in Africa. Al’s wife Kristin is a lawyer and sits on the board of TV Ontario and Al is on the board of Health Builders, an NGO operating in Rwanda, on the Advisory Board of Lewa Canada, an NGO operating in Kenya and is a former board member of the Institute for Philanthropy and the Philanthropy Workshop. They have four grown children. Al holds both an MBA and LLB from York University.

Jayson Horner
Co-Founder, President & CEO, CanDeal Jayson Horner became the first President and Chief Executive Officer of CanDeal in 2002. Prior to CanDeal, he was a Managing Director at TD Securities, having joined TD following its acquisition of Canada Trust Financial Services – while at TD, he co- founded CanDeal. In 1993, Jayson joined Richardson Greenshields of Canada, where he was a Vice President and Managing Director, Capital Markets, and four years later he was appointed Senior Vice President and Managing Director, CT Securities, a subsidiary of CT Financial. Jayson entered the business in 1978, when he joined Merrill Lynch Canada, where he held senior positions until he joined Richardson Greenshields. Jayson has served on boards in the financial services industry. Currently, he serves on the CanDeal board and on the board of The Ronald McDonald House – Toronto.
Liz MacDonald

Liz MacDonald recently retired from Toys R Us Canada where she held the position of Vice President of Marketing and Store Planning. She oversaw a team of 27 people and was responsible for the marketing functions which included: brand management, advertising – traditional and omni-channel, public relations, special events and store design. Liz is bilingual, and proudly holds two degrees and a certificate from York University: a Masters of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business, a BA in Physical Education and a Certificate in Sport Administration. Currently she teaches Sport Marketing and Event Management for the School of Kinesiology and Health Science. Her volunteer commitments include Ovarian Cancer Canada, Canadian Women’s Foundation and the Starlight Children’s Foundation.

Marco Bussadori

Chief Revenue Officer, Vision Critical Marco has had a long career in the software segment with vendors delivering solutions for mobility/virtualization/cloud/SaaS/crm/service management/storage and infrastructure. He has a degree in Artificial Intelligence and advanced Computer Science from the University of London (UK), 20+ years of leadership positions across Europe and North America leading global sales organizations. He has been through 6 successful acquisitions by HP, IBM (x2), Microsoft, BMC Software and VMware. Now CRO at Vision Critical Communications in Vancouver BC he is also advisor to several startups and VC’s such as Andreessen Horowitz, Greylock partners and Khosla Ventures in the Valley.
