Scott has multiple roles at High Rock. First and foremost he is dedicated to each client family: their goals for success, the time required to achieve those goals and the risks involved in the process. After a thorough investigation of your current financial circumstances, Scott will help forecast the potential for long term growth (Wealth Forecast) and / or cash flow requirements and focus on how to minimize risk, while building and growing your wealth through a tailored investment and asset allocation strategy. Secondly, he is responsible for the global macro economic and geo-political outlook that determines the investment strategy in the Global Equity Model which is part of High Rock’s multiple model strategy.
Scott joined High Rock in April 2015 as a Managing Partner and co-owner. Prior to joining High Rock, he spent 15 years as a Vice President, Senior Investment Advisor, Portfolio Manager and Branch Manager at several Canadian Investment Dealers and as a partner in the Turner Tomenson Wealth Management Group with more than 700 families and approx. $400 million in assets under administration. Scott’s main focus was to assist families in assessing and managing their investment risk and ensuring that they were steadily progressing toward their goals. Through the 1980’s and 1990’s, he spent 20 years as a Vice President, Fixed Income Trader and Risk Manager in both Canada and the United States at leading Banks and Investment Dealers, building his skills for managing risk.
Scott holds a BA in Economics from the University of Western Ontario (1980) and the Chartered Investment Manager designation (2014)
and in the past Scott and Mary have supported New Circles (www.newcircles.ca) and the Daily Bread Food Bank. Scott and Mary play a lot of Golf together. Scott also enjoys Stand Up Paddleboarding and Kiteboarding, Mary is an artist in the kitchen (so Scott also spends plenty of time in the gym as well as tending Goal on the ice). The rest of the time they travel around supporting their triathlete daughters.
